Carbon peeling is another skin care procedure. This procedure will help you to get rid of pigment spots, wrinkles, dead cells and oily skin type. .
How Carbon peeling is done? There are several stages of carbon peeling.
- First stage – skin cleansing.
- Later carbon thick creamy liquid is applied to the skin.
- This liquid should dry like a mask.
- On the first stage carbon masked skin is treated with laser beams. As a result all skin under the mask is treated.
- Laser system , applied during this procedure is called Q switched Nd-yag laser.
A fine carbon powder is applied to the face or area to be treated. This carbon powder has the ability to absorb dirt from within the pores. It can also act to reduce the inflammation of acne and also exfoliate the skin. Once the powder has been applied, a laser is passed over the surface of the skin. The laser breaks down the carbon powder, taking with it any contaminants that it has absorbed. As the carbon particles are very small, they are able to penetrate into pores and hard to reach places, thus allowing the laser to deliver its energy to these targeted areas.
As this is a thermal treatment, the small amount of heat produced from the destruction of the carbon powder has an added benefit of stimulating collagen production in the skin, leaving skin plumper, glowing with diminished fine lines (wrinkles).
İs it painful?This procedure can be a bit painful because of laser beams. That’s why topical anaesthetic is applied before the therapy. 15 minutes after the local anaesthetic application skin is cleansed because it should not be greasy befor application of carbon mask. Later carbon mask is applied.
How many sessions are required?There is no certain number of sessions. According to our experience minımum number of sessions required is 5. Later result must be assessed and final number of sessions should be determined.
What is the duration of the procedure ?General procedure duration including local anaesthetic application is 40-45 minutes. İf you apply topical anaesthetic by yourself before the procedure, you may reduce duration of the procedure up to 25-30 minutes.
İs effect of carbon peeling permanent ?This procedure doesn’t have a life long effect. Skin is affected by the external and internal factors. Like all other procedures carbon peeling has a certain duration period. But if you want to prolong the duration of this procedure, 2 sessions can be recommended.
What is the price of the peeling ?İt is difficult to define price before examination of your skin type. So price depends on the skin problem and number of sessions.
